FREE TICKETS AND
USHERING.
The PWSO’s commitment to education
and learning begins with our offer of free
mainstage concert tickets for every school
child, teacher and staff person in the
region.
In addition, middle school and high
school students may apply to serve as
ushers.
For this service, each usher may
bring an adult of their choice to a concert,
free of charge.

PWSO GOES BACK
TO SCHOOL.
Subject to funding allowances, the
PWSO would like to take an active part in
education, addressing ourselves particularly to
music programs within the schools.
While we cannot bring the entire
orchestra to your school, we can interact with you in practical and
direct ways.
Please consider one of the four
possibilities described below.
All programs require some budget
sharing with the school or institution
involved.
►MUSICAL
PETTING ZOO.
Our professionals will play and show
instruments to groups of children who have
not had this opportunity.
The kids can try playing the
instruments as well.
These programs have been popular in
the past, and we would like to continue
them.
If you are interested in having a
“Musical Petting Zoo”, please call ahead and
give us some time to coordinate the
personnel and the loan of the instruments.
►CLASSROOM
ASSISTANCE.
We want to practice with your
students!
Are you playing Beethoven’s Fifth
Symphony, or perhaps just working on scales?
It doesn’t matter.
We’d like to join your young
musicians for
a rehearsal.
►IN-SCHOOL
PERFORMANCES.
Our traveling group is a small
Baroque orchestra, and we would be happy to
come to your school.
We can play for you, interact with
your students, and perhaps even accompany
some of your soloists.
►PRIVATE
COACHING.
Do you have a student who might
benefit from some in-depth coaching, and who
otherwise might not have the means or the
opportunity to receive such attention?
